This is half way down the escalator
So we (Justin and I) get to go to Washington DC every 2 years, for National Law Enforcement Memorial... the actual holiday is May 15Th, which if you didn't know is actually one of the few days when all American flags have to be at half staff. I love going and I love DC... I would never want to move to the humidity, but I love it.... the memorial itself is very hard to see, there are way to many officers killed every year, last year was the worst since 9-11 and if 9-11 had never happen last year would have been the worst year for cops dying in 30 years....
Anyways on to happier things.... we didn't do much this year... we relaxed and hung out... we thought about going to NYC, but decided against it... we just did not much of anything, and I did not take many pictures... I have so many of the same thing and the same monuments... I did take a few of Justin working the main memorial....
One of my favorite things about DC is the METRO... I would love if we had a subway system here. It is safe and clean and efficient and just plain awesome... we usually stay where we have to get on and off at ROSSLYN Station, which I think has the longest and straightest escalator in the world... in 04 we walked up the entire thing, cause it was broke, oh my Gosh... talk about a stair routine.....
We got to DC on the 12 and left on the afternoon of the 15Th..... headed to Orlando...for Disney World.....
